About Us

A Community-Led Network for Change

World Post Changers Network (WPCN) is couple of efforts, expertise  and an independent human rights institution working for legal and policy reforms towards equality and full inclusion of under-served population-gender minority, governance and climatic justice.

The network was borne out of conversations. Conversations activists had among themselves and conversations the activists had with members of the community in Homabay and Migori.  The Armed knowledge and feedback on redress from the community, a group of five activists sat down drafted a unanimous specific objective; meaningful involvement through participation and contribution. 

8+ Years of Impact

 This aimed at empowering ‘Us’ to step forward, ask for involvement in targeted decision-making spaces and push for our agendas, design interventions of own within the legal framework and that was the first step to officially establishing WPCN.

Our Programs

Making a Real Difference on the Ground

From emergency COVID-19 responses to long-term legal empowerment, our programs address the most pressing needs of minority communities in Western Kenya.

1. Strategic Litigation on human right and climatic justice

WPCN works on litigating cases in the public interest. Since we began litigating advocacy in 2021, we have two cases with significant impact.

2. Legislative advocacy(Evident Bill & policy advocacy).

No legal framework on Our Needs No fund allocation.WPCN assess and identify community need with the legal gap, draft policy or Bill then approach desired state department for adoption and development of the drafted policy or Bill. With our expertise, we support government either expertise and financing the policy committes engagements.

3. Organization capacity strengthening.

WPCN partners with Amref -Global Fund to capacity strengthen our affiliates member organizations. Supporting the OCA and ODSS. Establishing board members for affiliates for sustainability, training on resource mobilization, support on developing and reviewing of their statutes and policies.
